Lowland Riparian

Below about 8,500 feet, riparian habitats consist mostly of cottonwoods (Populus deltoides and P. angustifolia), often with associated underbrush. Characteristic birds include Downy Woodpecker, House Wren, Yellow Warbler, Yellow-breasted Chat, Gray Catbird, orioles and Black-headed Grosbeak.
