American Golden-Plover

Description: A rare spring and uncommon fall migrant on the eastern plains, usually around the larger reservoirs; Jackson Reservoir is one of the best sites. Migration peak is usually later than most other shorebirds. Any golden-plover west of the divide or out of season should be scrutinized carefully for signs of being a Pacific.
